With the bleakness and desperation of the depression and the war years in the past, it was time to start enjoying life again. The 1950s brought America Black and white Television, rock and roll and entertaining at home was all the rage. Ladies’ luncheons, cocktail parties and backyard barbeques became very popular and men became masters of the grill.
Food historian Judith Krall-Russo will present Ladies Luncheons, Cocktail Parties and Grilling in the 1950s at the Brick Branch of the Ocean County Library, Saturday June 11 at 2PM.
