The Lacey Township Historical Society will offer a series of chats focusing on various historical topics to celebrate Lacey’s history and the 150th Anniversary every Friday from July 9 through August 13. Each week a different topics will to be covered.
Presenters will speak about The Birth of Lacey Township, A Retrospective look on Lacey Hotels and Maritime Industry, History of the Fire Department, John Parker Honorary Mayor and Historian Sharing Memories of Living in Lacey, History of the Lacey Police Department and a special program for children featuring Tales of the Area Handed Down Through Generations.
All fire pit chats will be held at the Museum Schoolhouse, 126 South Main Street, (behind Mrs. Walker’s Ice Cream). Programs to start at 7pm, rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather, programs will be offered inside, adhering to CDC guidelines.
No registration or admission fee is required. Donations are always welcomed.
