Patriot Day 200-Hole Golf Marathon in Manchester Will Support Scholarships for Military Veterans

Manchester, NJ – August 18, 2021 – PGA Professional Ed Walls will be the sole participant in a 1-day, 200-hole golf marathon for Patriot Golf Day on September 5, 2021 to support the Folds of Honor foundation, which provides educational scholarships for military families. The golf marathon will take place at Renaissance Country Club in Manchester, NJ where Walls has been the Head Golf Professional since 2016.

This is the 10th year Walls has conducted a marathon event for Patriot Golf Day, raising more than $75,000 in pledges and donations to date. In 2020, he won the Patriot Award from the NJPGA for his efforts and dedication to the Folds of Honor charity.

For 2021, Walls has set a goal to amass a record-breaking $25,000 and has committed to playing the equivalent of 11 rounds of golf plus 2 additional holes for a total of 200 holes. To encourage additional pledges and score-based donations, he will play the final 18 holes using only a 7 iron.

Since 2007, the Folds of Honor has provided educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members. Patriot Golf Day was conceived by the PGA and is the #1 source of financial support for the Folds of Honor foundation, a 501C-3 non-profit organization.
