Red Bank Elks and IBPOEW Bates Elks to Host “Hometown Heroes BBQ” on July 23
Free event to honor Red Bank’s police, firefighters and EMTs is open to all.
The Red Bank Elks is partnering with the Bates Elks to host the first annual “Hometown Heroes BBQ” on Saturday, July 23, from noon to 5pm, at the Bates Elks Lodge located at 306 Shrewsbury Ave. in Red Bank, NJ. The event, which is free and open to the public, will honor Red Bank’s police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians.
The day will begin with a special ceremony from noon to 1pm honoring Red Bank’s “hometown heroes,” which will be followed by a barbecue and fun for all ages – including a DJ and dancing, carnival games, fire truck tours, K-9 demonstrations, a bounce house, face painting, balloons and more. This event will take place rain or shine.
The Hometown Heroes BBQ is a coordinated effort between Red Bank Elks Lodge #233, located at 40 W. Front St. in Red Bank, and Bates Elks Lodge #220 – IBPOEW (Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World). This will be the first time in 10 years that the two most charitable organizations in Red Bank are teaming up to give back to the community.
