Breaking Down Nutrition Labels Workshop

March is National Nutrition Month, and the Manchester branch of the Ocean County Library will host a workshop “Breaking Down Nutrition Labels” at 2pm on Monday, March 23rd to help people eat healthy meals.

Staff from the Center for Healthy Aging at Monmouth Medical Center’s Southern Campus will show the key parts of the nutrition label on packaged food items and the information you should pay most attention to.

They will also discuss how food labels relate to the chronic illnesses we see today, review the current nutritional guidelines from the Food and Drug Administration and offer strategies for making healthier food choices. 

Light, healthy refreshments will be provided by the presenters.
