American Historical Theatre: “Madame C.J. Walker: America’s First Self-Made Millionaire”

In honor of Black History Month, the OCL Jackson Branch will present Dr. Daisy Century’s portrayal of Madame C.J. Walker, who grew her modest hair-restoration remedy into a multi-million-dollar empire, empowered other African American women by sharing her expertise, became a founder of NAACP, advocated for equality, and contributed to African American institutions of higher learning.
