A Superstorm named Sandy, tore through the shores of New Jersey on October 29, 2012, but Sandy wasn’t the only storm that hit New Jersey. As we follow 1 year in the lives of people recovering from the devastation, we learn that picking up the pieces after the storm is even more difficult than surviving it. They face increasing barriers created by Insurance Companies, Mortgagors, and Governmental Agencies, but through their perseverance and help from fellow citizens and non-profit groups, they show us that hope still exists, even in the midst of a storm.
