This week’s guest is Paul Hulse. Paul is the co-founder and director of the non-profit organization “Haven Beat the Streets.” This organization provides shelter, food, job referrals and placement, education and training and treatment for addiction for the homeless population in Ocean County. During the winter months, when a Code Blue is activated (meaning the temperature reaches 32 degrees or below) Haven opens it’s doors at the Toms River Recreation Center. So far this year, they have provided shelter, food, clothing and more to over one thousand residents. private donations and fundraising helps Haven serve the homeless throughout the year.
