Today’s guest is Megan O’Keefe. Megan began her new role as Executive Director for Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey this past March, just as the COVID crisis began. She explained the many changes that have had to occur within the organization. In person visits became virtual, as well as the music program for seniors with dementia. CVCJ worked with many agencies to ensure emergency situations were being met such as food shopping and other needs. Since the lifting of some restrictions, CVCJ Volunteers have been able to resume their in person visits, therapy dog outdoor visits, and transportation for medical needs. All the services provided by CVCJ are free of charge.
