Around Ocean County has guest Lou Sorrentino from Brick. Lou and his wife Brenda are now volunteers with NJ Sharing Network. Tragically, their son Brad passed away after a traumatic brain injury resulting from a fall at work. Brad donated several of his organs, saving five lives, as well as tissue donation, which can help up to seventy five people. This year, Brad and his family will be honored with a Floragram on a float at the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California on New Years Day. Lou and his wife and family travel to speak about the importance of organ and tissue donation as well. They ask those who are not currently organ donors to consider signing up to become one either by stating it on their license or signing up at NJSharingnetwork.org.
