Around Ocean County is back with guest Len Saunders, author and volunteer for the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association is promoting “Move More Month” for April to help children and adults exercise more. Programs for children include “commercial-sizing”, which promotes exercising during TV commercials. Plus, school programs across the United States to join together and exercise on a given day. Tips for adults include incorporating more exercising into their workday, such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking a distance away to walk to the office and using lunchtime as a means to walk with a company team. For more information on how to lead a heart healthy lifestyle and information on “Move More Month”, visit www.heart.org.
