This week our guest is Krista Newbert, Public Relations Director for the non-profit organization Holiday Express. The Mission of Holiday Express is to deliver music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.  it was founded by long time shore resident and musician Tom McLoone in 1993. Since then, it has grown from a handful of musicians performing at several shelters and nursing homes to performing over one hundred shows during the holiday season throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania with over a hundred musicians and singers. Their concerts include nursing homes, shelters, institutions and the underserved.  Over one thousand volunteers help organize the donations for area residents in need at a new warehouse located on Industrial Way in Eatontown.
