Around Ocean County continues with Joan Acevedo of the American Heart Association. Joan discusses the difference in heart attack symptoms between men and women, and how to prevent a stroke. Heart disease is the number one cause of death among women, stroke being number five. Most heart disease is eighty-percent preventable. Thirty minutes of exercise per day, limiting salt intake, cutting down on fats, eating at least two servings of vegetables per day and quitting smoking all contributes to heart health.
