It’s Around Ocean County with Lisa Anderson and guests Janice and Len Nachbar. They are a husband and wife advocates for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, as well as facilitators of three area support groups. Their mission is to bring awareness to this little known disease which affects three quarters of a million people across the US. June is National Dystonia Awareness month. Dystonia is caused by too much electricity in the brain, resulting in often painful muscle spasms affecting different parts and sometimes all of the body.
