April is donate life month and this week Lisas’ guests are Elisse Glennon, Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of The New Jersey Sharing Network, along with Keyport resident Dawn Burke, who is currently awaiting a lung transplant due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The New Jersey Sharing Network is happy to announce that 650 life saving transplants took place in 2017. This includes both deceased and living donors. Currently, there are 4,000 people on the transplant waiting list in New Jersey. New Jersey Sharing Network urges to become a organ donor and you can do this via their website NJSharingNetwork.org or by checking off the organ donor box on your license. New Jersey Sharing Network provides support to the donors, the recipient, and their families. They operate 24/7/365 days a year with a team of 150 highly trained and dedicated members on staff.
