This week’s guest is Danielle ”Dani” Pappas.  Danielle is a Neptune City Councilwoman and a volunteer EMT.  Danielle and the Neptune City Board, along with Neptune City Mayor have partnered with the Neptune City Police Department to hold a Pet Food Drive for the month of April, culminating on April 24th with a pet food distribution and folks from the Monmouth County SPCA and rescue groups.  Along with the pet food drive, Danielle discussed the “Blessing Box,” a grass roots organization that began when two Neptune City families began putting extra food in boxes on their lawn for those in need. Since then, this has grown into a huge supply of food and toiletries where donations have been coming in from other countries, as well as Amazon, Costo and other companies. A large shed has been donated in order to house the supplies,  and is sorted by both families on a volunteer basis everyday.
