We’re back with Cara Kelly, the executive director for The First Tee, Jersey Shore.  The First Tee is a non-profit youth development organization whose mission is to impact, inspire and influence local children by delivering programs that teach core values and healthy choices with a focus on advancing diversity and providing access to all children in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  There are two learning facilities serving children ages 7 – 17. Life lessons and core values are taught during the course of the program. The nine core values are Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgement. Even though golfing is thought of as a solitary sport, The First Tee encourages social skills and a team oriented environment.
