Young artists are bringing Hadestown: Teen Edition to life at Ocean City Music Pier this Oct. 18-19, 2025. Students aged 12-18 will perform under the direction of Hannah Breed and Francesca Merlino.

This bold retelling sets ancient Greek myths in a gritty, post-apocalyptic New Orleans. The story weaves together two love stories: Orpheus with Eurydice and Hades with Persephone. Brinley Edwards guides the musical elements.

The Broadway version swept awards in 2019. Eight Tony Awards went to the production, with top prizes for its music and staging. Critics showered more praise through Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle honors. The cast recording earned a GRAMMY in 2020.

This adaptation keeps the show's signature mix of folk tunes and New Orleans jazz. Every moment unfolds through song, staying true to creator Anaïs Mitchell's vision.

Based on the Jersey shore, this arts group stages professional shows year-round. Their work includes musical productions and shows with the Ocean City POPS Orchestra.

In 2011, they added Greater to their name. This change let them bring shows to more places across the Delaware Valley.

At the Music Pier, seats wrap around three sides of the stage. This setup puts viewers right in the middle of the action. Find this special venue at 825 Boardwalk.

Catch the magic Saturday night at 7:30 or Sunday afternoon at 2. Each ticket costs $15, and you pick your seat when you arrive. Book now through the group's website.
