Cat Convention Returns to Bell Works Building This Weekend in Holmdel

This October brings furry friends and feline fun to Holmdel's Bell Works building. The Catsbury Park Cat Convention runs Oct. 11-12, turning the space into a wonderland of whiskers with adoptable pets, wisdom from specialists, and dozens of merchants.

Doors swing open at 11 a.m. Saturday until 5 p.m., while Sunday welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 101 Crawfords Corner Road. Star power fills the schedule as Hannah "Kitten Lady" Shaw, Jackson Galaxy, Cat Man of West Oakland, Sarah Potter, and Andrew Marttila take the stage.

Artists from Neptune Tattooville will ink visitors with permanent cat art. Each penny spent supports Catsbury Park Inc. and its partner shelters in their mission to protect animals.

TV buffs might spot the Bell Works building from "Severance." It stars as Lumon Industries' exterior in the hit show.

Established in 2017, Catsbury Park is dedicated to “helping save the lives of cats and kittens in need through rescue, TNR, and education at the Jersey Shore and beyond,” according to their mission statement, per Newsbreak.com.

Since 2017, Catsbury Park has made its mark along the Jersey Shore. Their work spans from cat rescue to TNR programs, with a welcoming space at 901 3rd Ave. in Asbury Park serving as both adoption hub and lounge.

The weekend mixes purpose with play. While cats find their forever homes, visitors soak up knowledge from pros who know all about feline care and quirks.
