Walmart Now Sells Texas Roadhouse Rolls To Bake At Home
If you’re a fan of Texas Roadhouse’s signature bread rolls, you’ll soon be able to snag them at the grocery store. USA TODAY reported that the restaurant launched a frozen version of their rolls, which will be sold exclusively at Walmart.
Walmart said that the rolls are currently in select stores in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio and are set to be rolled out “in all stores in the coming weeks.”
Texas Roadhouse Signature Rolls Coming to Walmart
Texas Roadhouse said in a statement to the outlet that the product was intended to launch on June 29 but some Walmart stores put the product on shelves early, causing a stir on social media.
Someone posted an image of the rolls’ packaging on Instagram. “Wait!! So you mean I can get those butter goodness rolls at the store!!” said the post’s caption. One person (presumably from Texas) wrote, “Texas Roadhouse but Texas don’t get dibs cmon now.” Another person prefers the rolls much like many of us do fresh. “Just go to the restaurant and buy them fresh,” they said.
Many people commented that they’d been making their own before the release of the frozen mini rolls. Apparently, all you need are frozen rolls from Walmart, thaw them for about three hours, and then bake them and get butter and mix it with sugar and cinnamon. One person said these taste just “exactly” like Texas Roadhouse rolls.
The 12-pack of mini rolls comes in a ready-to-bake pan with a honey cinnamon glaze that mimics the restaurant’s honey cinnamon butter. The rolls cost around $5.26 per package.
“Prep, Bake, Glaze, and Enjoy!”
According to the mini rolls packaging, they’re inspired by Texas Roadhouse’s “made from scratch bread,” which is a “nod” to their “legendary recipe.”
It also says to preheat the oven to 350 degrees, remove the plastic wrap from its packaging, and to remove the glaze packet. From there, you cover the pan “loosely” with aluminum foil and bake on the middle rack of the oven for 27 to 30 minutes or until the desired browning. Once baked, gently knead the glaze packet at the pour spout and apply directly over warm rolls or serve on the side.
“Nothing beats the fresh-baked bread we make in our restaurants daily,” the restaurant said. “However, we’re excited for our guests to have an inspired product available to them to make at home.”
The rollout of the Texas Roadhouse rolls comes on the heels of Walmart announcing major summer deals.
The box store giant announced Monday that it is offering select deals on its website and app from July 8 through July 11 as a part of their “Walmart Deals” promotion.
