Some Popular Spots for Ice Cream at the Beach

“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!” These lyrics are from a song first published in 1927, by Howard Johnson, Billy Moll, and Robert King. It’s funny, whenever someone in the house says,” Hey, let’s go get some ice cream, “everyone has their favorites.

Those opinions can change from outing to outing. If you’re in the mood for good old-fashioned hard ice cream, an ice cream sundae, or a milkshake that’s a night (or day!) for Hoffmans or Sundaes. Classic flavors along with a few seasonal treats such as Flavor of Love (Sundaes) or Jersey Monkey (Hoffman’s) all taste delicious in a cup, on a cone or with hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry.

Now, let’s say you’re in the mood for a soft serve; nothing beats Kohr’s! Whether you like vanilla and orange swirls or plain chocolate or vanilla, sprinkles, jimmies, or cake decorators (that’s for another day), this beach classic can’t be beaten! If you want a sweet treat that’s over-the-top look to Courtneys. They serve up candy-coated cones and amazing ice cream pies. Coney Waffle is an experience. Everything from candy to cookies and pretty much “the kitchen sink” is added to this feast for the eyes and tummy!

There are also places like Strollo’s and Rita’s that mix ice cream and Italian ice for a delicious treat. The Music Man is ice cream and a show! Their website says,’ The Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shoppe is a vaudeville-style nightly Broadway cabaret. Performers maneuver around the entire shop, singing directly to individual guests, and incorporating them into the show. It’s a unique family entertainment experience that appeals to all ages. Plus, the ice cream options are fantastic! When it’s summer at the beach, going out for ice cream is an extraordinary way to cool off and spend time with family and friends. The possibilities are endless and they are right in our backyard!

It's finally warm outside again. All I ever want to do this time of year is sit outside with my friends and yap for hours. And honestly, nothing accompanies that better than a fun cocktail. And with so many different fruits finally in season, what else could you even do with them other than make a drink? Okay yes, you could bake or cook or make a fruit salad, but let's save that for another day.

I've put together a list of 6 different cocktail recipes below and one mocktail recipe. Some of the drinks on the list would even be fun and festive for a Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day party!

It's simple, it's summery, what's not to like? You could even swap out the Malibu for coconut tequila if you prefer a spirit that's got a little more punch. Yummy!

Now, the girl in the video doesn't give this one a name. Some people in the comments were calling it a Blue Lagoon, others said it was called a Blue Hawaiian, and others called it Lake Water. So I've decided to call it Ocean Water, since we're here right next to the beach! :) Enjoy!

Essentially, a lemon tequila spritz. If I personally were going to make this, I'd probably also add a bit of club soda. I love bubbles! This looks like summer in a glass.
