MLB Player Mike Trout Teams Up With Tiger Woods To Build Golf Course In New Jersey
Mike Trout currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels, however, he’s a New Jersey native at heart. This is why he’s teaming up with golf legend Tiger Woods, to bring a new state-of-the-art golf course to his old stomping ground in South Jersey.
Born and raised in Cumberland County the 31-year-old baseball player was picked in the first round of the 2011 draft and has since made a name for himself, by being unanimously awarded the 2012 AL rookie of the year. Among other awards he’s earned in his career playing for the Angels.
The course which will be named “Trout National – The Reserve” is being built in Vineland New Jersey, the same town Trout was born in. It’s also close to where Trout still lives today in Millville.
We promised you all a big announcement and here it is! We are so excited to be able to make a longtime dream of mine a reality, with none other than @tigerwoods and @tgrdesignbytw. We can't wait to share more updates with you as we create Trout National - The Reserve. pic.twitter.com/V8eMGEUYdS

On top of the soon-to-be championship golf course, the three-time AL MVP is partnering with another champion, Tiger Woods, whose golf course architecture firm, TGR Design.
Will be overseeing the construction process, as for how this partnership came to be. Well Trout said in a press release for Trout National the story is as simple as he called TGR Design, they loved the idea and now he can work with one of his favorite golf icons.
The 18-hole championship course golf course is being built just about 45 minutes south of Philadelphia. And the ground is expected to be broken by 2025.
In addition to Trout National, a practice range, short-game area, clubhouse, restaurant, lodging, and a wedding chapel may be included. It’s awesome to see Trout giving back and bringing attention to not only the sports he loved but to the community that raised him.
