Salad Chain Opens 4th N.J. Location
A popular salad chain has opened a fourth New Jersey location. Sweetgreens opened in Montclair on March 21 at 460 Bloomfield Ave, NJ.com reports.
The location has 30 indoor seats for guests. The entire restaurant is about 3,250 square feet.
Sweetgreen’s menu has customizable salad bowls, which is their most popular menu item. They also offer warm bowls, plates, and healthy sides. For drinks, they have kombucha, tea, and several brands of flavored water.
The popular salad chain’s mission is “building healthier communities by connecting people to real food.” They’ve also been committed to their efforts in sustainability. Sweetgreens is on a mission to becoming carbon-neutral by the end of 2027.
“In a world where the long-and short-term effects of climate change pose major challenges for farmers, the need for regenerative food systems has never been more important,” its site reads. “That’s why we’ve made a promise to do more for the planet, by taking less. Our plant-forward menu means that we’re already on average 30% less carbon intensive than the average American meal.”
The healthy fast-casual eatery is popular amongst those living in New York, especially since they operate over 50 restaurants and outposts in the Empire State. A majority of their restaurants are located right in Manhattan.
Sweetgreen’s first location in the Garden State was in Jersey City in 2020. They have since opened locations in Hackensack and Shrewsbury. The restaurant’s first-ever location was in Washington DC in 2007.
Montclair’s new Sweetgreen spot opens from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
