She's so unusual, and she's leading the pack of nominees for the Rock & Roll hall of Fame class of 2023 in the Fan Vote. Three weeks after the nominations were announced and voting opened, Cyndi retains the top spot with over 246,000 votes.

George Michael is just behind with some 242,000 votes, followed by Warren Zevon (215,000), Soundgarden (163,000), and Iron Maiden (162,000) rounding out the Top 5.

Warren Zevon in third may be is a bit of a surprise so far, but Billy Joel has been leading the public charge to get the Excitable Boy his rightful place in the Rock Hall, as well as advocating for Cyndi Lauper.

The bottom half of the top 10 is comprised of Willie Nelson, Joy Division/New Order, Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, and Rage Against the Machine. Below the Top 10 are The Spinners, The White Stripes, Missy Elliot, and A Tribe Called Quest.

The fan vote closes on April 25, the winners will be announced in May and the ceremony details are still to be determined.
