One of my favorite cast members on Saturday Night Live, both for her time on the and after, is Amy Poehler. I have been a fan of hers since the late ’90s when she was a member of the improv comedy troupe Upright Citizen’s Brigade.

At the time she was performing at UCB, Poehler would regularly make appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien as sidekick Andy Richter’s little sister Stacy who was obsessed with Conan.

Amy was terrific on the short-lived Comedy Central show Upright Citizen’s Brigade.

Amy came into her own as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and of course followed that up with a terrific run as Leslie Knope on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Poehler reprised the role with P&R co-star Aubrey Plaza when they joined the Weekend Update desk this past weekend.

And in the midst of all this, Amy sat down with CBS Sunday Morning for a lovely interview. Enjoy!
