I have found myself getting more into golf and the PGA Tour over the last several years. I had always been a casual fan, and like so many millions of others my interest ratcheted up with Tiger Woods. EA Sports Tiger Woods Golf was one of my favorite games on the ol’ Playstation 2, and while I couldn’t hit a real golf ball properly to save my life, I was pretty gosh darn okay in the video game.

EA Sports has not put out a golf game since 2015, so the anticipation for the new game is at a fever pitch. The new game will feature all four men’s majors, including the Masters, as well as 2021 and 2022 venues. Also available will be the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the U.S. Amateur, and the LPGA’s Amundi Evian Championship. The game is due March 24, and a game play trailer just dropped showing off some of the new technology, courses, and players.

In other PGA news, the trailer just dropped for the upcoming behind the scenes series called Full Swing. The PGA is hoping to ignite interest with this much in the same way Formula 1 racing saw it’s audience increase exponentially with the Drive to Survive docuseries. With all of the off-the-course controversy in the past year with the LIV Golf feud, Ian Poulter is spot on when he says they “picked a helluva year to start filming!”

First Swing tees off February 15 on Netflix.
