What Did TJ Bryan Watch On YouTube? Every SNL Baking Sketch!
My obsession with The Great British Bake Off had me going back through the SNL archives for some of their baking competition sketches. The first one is a GBBO parody with Emily Blunt and Cecily Strong as to crap bakers from Manchester who would probably rather be on Love Island. I remember seeing this and laughing when it first aired, but I love it even more now having actually seen the show it’s based on.
Next is the first of three Extreme Baking Championship sketches, all of which give the SNL props department plenty to do! Host Don Cheadle creates an abomination that begs to be put out of it’s misery.
The sketch returned later that season with Eddie Murphy, who let an F bomb slip out live (since edited in the video) after opening a portal to hell with his bake.
For some reason judge Ego Nwodim picks up a British accent for this round with Timothee Chalomet.
Simu Liu was the most recent contestant to appear in the Extreme Baking Championship sketch, and it went about as well as you’d expect.
And finally, this bonus gem featuring Leslie Jones and Melissa Villasenor on Chopped. Melissa “washing” her hands gets me every time!
