Matt Knight’s “4:20 HIT of the Day” – 6/23/22
Every weekday at around 4:20pm, I’m going to drop a song that I think you should listen to and make the remainder of your workday a bit more mellow with the 4:20 HIT of the Day. What does this mean? Simply, it’s a song that I think will give you some good vibes, ‘spark up’ nostalgia or just remind you about a tune that you might love but just haven’t heard in a while.

Today’s HIT comes from the legendary Bob Marley & the Wailers. (I told you the crappy weather wouldn’t be around all summer!)
‘Sun is Shining’ was first released on the 1971 ‘Soul Revolution’ album. It was re-recorded by Marley on his 1978 album, ‘Kaya.’ It is one of his most popular songs and is widely credited as one of the tracks that led to the explosion of reggae fusion into the mainstream. While the song never charted on the Billboard Hot 100, It reached #1 on the US Dance Club & Hot Dance Singles charts in 1978.
Let the sun shine on your face and give a listen!
