Weekdays 2pm - 7pm

Every weekday at around 4:20pm, I’m going to drop a song that I think you should listen to and make the remainder of your workday a bit more mellow with the 4:20 HIT of the Day. What does this mean? Simply, it’s a song that I think will give you some good vibes, ‘spark up’ nostalgia or just remind you about a tune that you might love but just haven’t heard in a while.

Today’s HIT is a song that includes an amazing guitar solo for the last minute where the only possible explanation is that Mark Knopfler has 15 fingers. “Sultans of Swing” by Dire Straits peaked at #4 in 1979. Knopfler’s vocals on the song are very reminiscent of Bob Dylan,  Guitar World Magazine ranked his solo as 22nd best of all time & Rolling Stone placed it as the 32nd best guitar song of all time.

Take a moment to enjoy this gem if you haven’t heard it in a while. I included a LIVE version of it below so that you can see the magic of Knopfler’s guitar work.
