Every weekday at around 4:20pm, I’m going to drop a song that I think you should listen to and make the remainder of your workday a bit more mellow with the 4:20 HIT of the Day. What does this mean? Simply, it’s a song that I think will give you some good vibes, ‘spark up’ nostalgia or just remind you about a tune that you might love but just haven’t heard in a while.

Today’s HIT is experiencing a massive resurgence due to its placement in the latest season of “Stranger Things.” Nearly 40 years after its original release, Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” just became her first ever top-10 hit. In a statement to her fans, Kate writes “It’s all so exciting! Since the last post, ‘Running Up That Hill’ has gone to No. 1 in Norway and Austria. This is such great news and we just heard today that it’s up from No. 8 to No. 4 in the U.S.”

The song peaked at #30 in 1985 and thanks to the song’s use in a pivotal scene in the Netflix series, downloads & radio airplay have seen tremendous increases. Enjoy the video here.
