Count Basie Center for the Arts Announce New COVID-19 Entry Policy
RED BANK – The Count Basie Center for the Arts has announced the following policy for all concertgoers:
Beginning Sept. 8, the Count Basie Center for the Arts will require patrons to present one of the following to attend events at Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre, The Vogel or Basie Center Cinemas:
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
- A negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of door time
Patrons aged 12 and under are not required to present test results, but must remain masked during all events.
For events prior to Sept. 8, all patrons must remain masked except while eating or drinking.
This is an open-ended policy subject to change based on recommendations from the State of New Jersey, the CDC, local boards of health and other regulations.
Masks Are Still STRONGLY Encouraged
In late 2020 and into 2021, the Basie Center entertained more than 10,000 masked patrons in both our historic theater and The Vogel. Our protocols resulted in zero onsite spread of the COVID-19 virus. For this reason, we will continue to STRONGLY ENCOURAGE patrons to follow CDC and State of New Jersey guidance as it pertains to wearing masks indoors. Count Basie Center event staff will be masked at all times.
