Fans With Third-Party Jimmy Buffet Tickets Banned From Concerts
After tickets to a string of upcoming Jimmy Buffett shows in Florida sold out moments after they were released on Monday (April 26), it didn’t take long for scalpers to start peddling their purchased tickets, charging as much as $10,000 for a pod of four seats.
There’s only problem: people who bought the overpriced tickets won’t be able to use them — at least not to see Jimmy Buffett.
Officials with the Delray concert venue Old School Square say ticket holders will be required to show ID upon entering. If the name on the ID doesn’t match the name on the ticket, they’ll be sent on their way.
Tickets purchased from third parties display the third party’s name.
