Point Pleasant Beach Cancels 43rd Annual Festival Of The Sea
The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce has announced the cancelation of the 43rd Annual Festival of the Sea scheduled for September 19.
This Seafood Festival held in downtown Point Pleasant Beach on both Arnold and Bay Avenues has been the town’s premier event for more than 40 years.
Festival of the Sea features local restaurants, arts & crafts, entertainment, and more. In 2019, 200 vendors participated in the street fair with over 60,000 people in attendance.
Organizers, Board of Directors, Mayor Paul Kanitra, and Chief of Police Joseph Michigan held “many emotional discussions” with the “consideration for the safety and well being” of residents due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
