VIDEO: Billy Joel Stops to Play Piano Left Out for Trash Pickup
Billy Joel has access to some of the finest pianos in the world, but he couldn’t help but stop and play a piano he saw left out for trash pickup on the side of a road.
The brief video captured below shows Joel in Huntington, Long Island playing away on the disagreed piano and marveling at the fact, “It’s a perfectly good piano. Seems a shame to throw it out.”
Apologies for the camerawork in the video. Not sure if it was filmed by a fan who wanted to be discrete while filming or by someone who’s never held a smartphone before. Even with the terrible angles, it’s still a fun moment!
