Brick Memorial High School: Class of 2020 Graduates and Families
Class of 2020 Graduates and Families,
We are thrilled for our Seniors of the Class of 2020 that Governor Murphy provided
direction on June 9th which anticipates allowing 500 people to gather in an outside
setting starting July 3rd. Please be advised that this is an ever evolving number and
that we will keep you apprised of any changes as they occur.
At this time, given the current guidance from the Governor’s Office and the
anticipated outside gathering number as of July 3rd, our in-person graduation plans
are as follows:
The Brick Memorial High School Class of 2020 Graduation will be held on
Wednesday, July 8th with 2 ceremonies; one at 4:00 PM and one at 7:00 PM.
Students will be assigned to each ceremony alphabetically and the rain date will be
July 9th.
● Each graduate may only bring 2 guests. In order to meet the restrictions from
the Governor’s directive, this limit must be strictly enforced.
● A link to a survey will be sent out on Monday, June 15th through the Class of
2020 Google Classroom and via a Blackboard email. This survey is designed
to identify if the Graduate plans to attend the ceremony and the two family
members who will be accompanying the Graduate to the ceremony. It is very
important that we have EVERY Senior complete this survey so that we have
this information for our planning. Please complete this survey by Monday,
June 22nd.
● Specific details regarding the procedures for the in-person graduations will
be sent out to the Graduates and their families once the survey is complete.
We anticipate sending these specific details out the week of June 29th.
We look forward to celebrating the Graduating Class of 2020 with their family
members!
Sincerely,
Jonathan Barresi
Principal
