Humpback Whale Spotted In The Shrewsbury River
A Humpback whale was spotted in the Shrewsbury River today (May 29).
“Earlier today, Troopers from the Marine Services Bureau responded to the Route 36 bridge over the Shrewsbury River for the report of a humpback whale,” the New Jersey State Police shared to Instagram.
It was reported that the whale appears to be healthy and feeding in hopes it will return to sea very soon.
The police advise boaters to avoid the area due to the fact that it may scare the whale and prevent it from leaving the river.
The New Jersey State Police revealed that they will continue to monitor the situation.
