With the current status of the state, the government is working towards providing New Jersey guidance on the reopening of beaches and boardwalks sooner rather than later.
Governor Phil Murphy spoke with NJTV News Thursday night (May 7) to answer coronavirus-related questions. New Jersey beaches were among the long list of topics being covered.
“I will be shocked if our beaches are not open, but with very specific guidance, just as we opened county and state parks,” Murphy told Senior Correspondent David Cruz. “You should expect we’ll give guidance on beaches before Memorial Day.”
Governor Phil Murphy’s next daily press briefing will be held today (May 8) at 1 p.m. ET. Click here for COVID-19 news and updates here in New Jersey.
