Seaside Heights Virtual Easter Egg Hunt
The Seaside Heights Virtual Easter Egg Hunt will be live online now until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14. A prize package will be awarded 100 hunt participants drawn at random from the entries of all whom answer all of the clues correctly. The 100 prize packages will include coupons for 2 daily beach badges for Seaside Heights, a slice of Maruca’s pizza, 1 game of Wacky Rooftop Golf at Casino Pier and 1 game of Frog Bog at Casino Pier.
Winners will be notified by April 20. Prize coupons will be mailed once social distancing restrictions are lifted. This ensures a reasonable time to utilize the coupons.
The traditional Palm Sunday Easter Egg Hunt would have been this Sunday but the necessities of social distancing and the resulting closure of the beach and boardwalk caused that to be cancelled. “We are very pleased that we are able to provide some Seaside Heights fun to children and their families at home,” described John McGrath, Chairman of the Board of the Seaside Heights Business Improvement District (SSHBID). “The egg hunt and our First Night, New Years Eve afternoon, family events are as much fun for us to offer families as they are for the families.”
The Seaside Heights Virtual Easter Egg Hunt will launch at Noon on Sunday, April 5 with an announcement on the Seaside Heights Instagram and Facebook pages and an email sent to subscribers to the free periodic email. The announcement will give a website address for starting the hunt and getting instructions. Participants will download a clue journal and then follow directions to various webpages where they will get answers to be recorded online at the end of the hunt. The journal provides both clues and a place to collect answers until the entry form comes up at the end of the hunt.
Entry in the hunt is limited to children age 14 and under, though a parent may assist with the hunt and completing the entry form. Entries will be accepted only through the online entry process at the end of the Virtual Easter Egg Hunt. A parent email must be provided in order to both give permission for participation in the hunt and to notify winners. There is a limit of one entry per child.
“Seaside Heights is a fun place for people of all ages and during this difficult time we want to continue to provide fun for our fans,” explained McGrath. “Our staff is working on a variety of free, fun activities that are online or combine online with some actual in-home activities. We look forward to rolling them out and providing them soon.”
The Seaside Heights Business Improvement District is the shore resort’s economic development non-profit organization dedicated to helping existing businesses to thrive while attracting new businesses.
