Since starting drive-thru COVID-19 testing last week, Immediate Care has tested hundreds of New Jersey residents, but has turned down hundreds more because they lack the necessary laboratory test kits. Immediate Care has been able to test approximately 50-75 people per day, but has the capacity to test more than 400 people daily across their seven locations when more test kits become available.

“We are calling on all labs, local doctors, hospitals, and any medical centers in NJ and across the country; if you have test kits you are not using, please contact us today. We have the resources, experience, and capacity to test hundreds of more residents every single day,” said Immediate Care Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Cal Garcia.

NJ has the second-most COVID-19 cases in the United States, but test kits are scarce locally. Each day, Immediate Care continues to contact dozens of lab and doctor offices across NJ to see if anyone has test kits they can use.

“Please if you have tests available, call us. Each day we turn down hundreds of people with symptoms because we can only get a small number of test kits per day,” said Immediate Care President & CEO, Sal Cannizzaro. “This is a pandemic, and the only way we can slow this virus is through testing and treatment.”
