Gene Simmons Underwent Kidney Stone Procedure: Report
KISS was forced to postpone their Salt Lake City show earlier this month with Gene Simmons Apologies to the fans in Salt Lake City. We will come back and do the show at a later date. The truth is, I have to fly to LA to do a medical procedure. Nothing serious. But it must be taken care of now. Thank you for your good wishes. All is well. 😊
Per TMZ, sources say Simmons was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in order to deal with kidney stones. A stent was inserted in his urethra to help the kidney stones pass easier, and the stent will be removed in about a week.
Naturally, this news brings up when Simmons said in 2009 he sold a kidney stone he passed on eBay for charity and raised $15,000. Despite the pain and discomfort he’s experiencing, here’s hoping he can maybe do the same this time around and he recovers quickly.
