Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Issues Phone Scam Alert
If someone says they’re calling from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, don’t just take it as a fact. Your number may be on a scamming list.
According to a warning issued by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, phone scammers are on the hunt for victims. In some cases, scammers are requesting personal information. In others, they want access to your bank accounts.
All Ocean County residents should be vigilant and aware of these calls. If you get one, hang up and contact the Sheriff’s Office directly at 732-929-2044.
