Ozzy Osbourne Hospital Stay Included Stint in ICU: Report
Ozzy Osbourne is still hospitalized due to complications with the flu, and his treatment inside the hospital reportedly included a stay in intensive care.
U.K.’s The Sun reports Ozzy’s flu developed into bronchitis. As a precaution, doctors sent Ozzy to the intensive care unit in order to prevent the potential development of pneumonia.
Fortunately, the treatment worked and a source told The Sun, “Ozzy’s a fighter, and is getting better day by day. The worst is over, he’s smiling again, and he can’t wait to get up on stage.”
This follows a brief update from Jack Osbourne who said via Instagram, “He’s doing much better. Thanks for all your messages.”
News of Ozzy’s hospitalization was confirmed by manager/wife Sharon Osbourne on February 7.
She shared via hersocial media channels, “As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu. His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”
This latest illness for Ozzy has led to the postponement of the European leg of his “No More Tours 2” farewell tour. Rescheduled dates have yet to be announced.
Ozzy was sidelined for a significant amount of time toward the end of 2018 with three different staff infections in his right hand.
