(WATCH) Demolition of Circus Drive-In, Wall Township

For more than 60 years, the Circus Drive-In on Rt. 35 in Wall was a staple. A petition was created and signed to try and save the landmark location, but it was not enough and demolition began.

Circus Drive-In opened in 1954 and couldn't be missed with the neon clown sign enticing customers to drive-in and have their food served right to their cars.  We can still smell the soft-shell crabs.  See the destruction of the building below...if you can handle seeing it go.  It took about 20 minutes to bring all of the structures down.  No plans have been made for a replacement business to land at the iconic spot on Rt. 35.
