Original Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm celebrates a birthday today (May 2), and one of the highlights for fans this past year has been his guest appearances with Foreigner on tour.

Of course, this reunion was made possible thanks to Gramm and guitarist Mick Jones joining forces for a special appearance in 2013.

Gramm and Jones were inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame that year, and the two performed some Foreigner classics at the ceremony, including the iconic ballad “I Want To Know What Love Is.”  It was the first time they shared a stage together in over a decade, and it was so well-received, they decided to make Gramm's appearances a fixture of Foreigner's 40th anniversary tour.
