Liner Notes (January 10)

KISS and some Aerosmith-related news makes up the January 10 installment of “Liner Notes.”  Rock on!

Michael W. Roehr, 50, was arrested by the San Angelo, Texas Police department recently after stealing a bunch of KISS memorabilia from a local storage unit.  Per KIDY, Some of the stolen memorabilia has been recovered and returned to its owner.

All we can say is while even Gene Simmons doesn’t know the meaning of the song “Deuce,” we know is popular slang meaning, and Roehr is SUCH A DEUCE!

We love when rockstars do some good!

Today’s good rock deed comes from Steven Tyler, who per Billboard, is hosting a GRAMMY viewing party to benefit his own charity Janie’s Fund that provides support to abused girls.   Tyler will also be performing at the viewing party as well.

Sweeterland Manifesto, Joe Perry’s new solo album, comes out January 19, but on January 16, the Aerosmith guitarist will be performing at The Roxy in West Hollywood, Calif. at the LP’s release party.

The night might be a celebration of a solo record, but Perry certainly won’t be alone.  He’ll be joined by a bunch of special guests including Robin Zander, David Johansen, Terry Reid, Dean and Robert DeLeo, Gary Cherone, Buck Johnson and David Goodstein.

We can’t wait for the cell phone video to surface!
