Here’s Why You Should NEVER Wear Shoes Without Socks
If you’re one of those people who occasionally sports shoes without socks or never wears socks with your shoes at all — this article has your name written all over it!
We get it … you have cute ankles and you want to show them off to the world during your daily stroll through the park. Great, but did you ever stop to consider your health along the way?
Wait … what? What does your health have to do with whether or not you wear socks?
Surprisingly, a lot.
You see, every time you put on shoes without wearing socks, you put yourself at risk for a foot condition.
You’re probably thinking, “Is it really that big of a deal,” right now … but the answer is yes.
An article published in the Telegraph reveals that the average foot produces about a pint of sweat a day.
Ummmm …. eww!
Yes, an entire pint. What do you think happens to that sweat when it can’t be absorbed by socks? You guessed it, the sweat is absorbed by your shoe and can lead to several fungal infections.
The article also notes that when you go sockless, your feet become more susceptible to bunions and ingrown toenails.
Trust us, it’s better to cover up your cute ankles with socks then to have to pay a podiatrist after you develop foot issues.
Just saying …
