It hasn't been long -- only two years -- since Def Leppard released its last studio album, a self-titled set. But drummer Rick Allen tells us the group is starting to hatch some recording plans for the near future:
This whole week has been hysteria over Def Leppard’s Hysteria, and rightfully so with the album celebrating its 30th anniversary today (August 3) and its 30th anniversary reissue due out tomorrow (August 4.)
As previously reported, a new mini-documentary, Step Inside: Hysteria, highlighting the making of Def Leppard’s classic album, was teased for release, and much to our surprise, it’s actually going to be available online, with part one now streaming.
On the surface, one wouldn’t think Roy Orbison, Def Leppard’s Steve Clark and Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean DeLeo would have much in common, but each are not only stellar guitarists, they also share an April 23 birthday!
There’s now less than two weeks left until Def Leppard kick off their tour with Poison and Tesla in Manchester, N.H. on April 8, and needless to say, everyone is itching to get back on the road.
