WATCH: Whoopi Goldberg on The Beatles at Shea Stadium

The Beatles’ iconic Shea Stadium gig took place on this date (August 15) in 1965, and among the 56,000 people in attendance was a nine-year-old Whoopi Goldberg.

Goldberg recalled the way she found out she was going to the Shea Stadium show in the documentary The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years.
