Beatles News Round-Up: John Lennon Graphic Novel, Beatles Baseball Jersey

There seems to be a virtually endless supply of books on the lives of The Beatles, but this new title certainly provides a unique twist to the biography genre.

Due out May 30, Lennon:  The New York Years is the graphic novel adaptation of the 2010 novel Lennon by David Foeniknos.  The graphic novel was adapted by French comic book writer Corbeyran, with the illustrations by French artist Horne.  Here’s a preview of the work below!

Lennon: The New York Years - Official Trailer

Described as a "true biographical fiction," Lennon: The New York Years is based on the 2010 novel Lennon by David Foeniknos. The story imagines the late Beatle during his time living in New York City, recounting his life to an unnamed, unseen therapist who lives in his building.

…In other Beatles news, the Fab Four will be taking the field (in a matter of sorts) on June 16 as part of “Beatles Night” for the Toledo Mud Hens, the Triple-A affiliate team of the Detroit Tigers.

How will the Beatles be taking the field?  Answer:  With these snazzy jerseys!

We’re not sure if the Mud Hens got permission to make these jerseys or not, but we’d be lying if we said we didn’t want one.  They’re so tacky that they’re brilliant!
