Gene Simmons will be opening his vaults soon to give fans a mammoth amount of unreleased material.
Simmons tells the Canton Repository that "I'm working on a box set that is gonna put together 150 songs that have never been released. The news is going to be released soon."
The box set project has actually been rumored for several years, including floated titles such as 100 and Alter Ego. Besides KISS, Simmons has released two solo albums and also written for and with other artists, including Bob Dylan and Donna Summer.
And though he's said that he has no interest in making another new KISS album, Simmons tells us that he's still actively writing songs:
"I did write a song a few months back called 'Your Wish Is My Command,' which sounds like it came off of 'Destroyer." And when will Paul (Stanley) and the rest of the guys come up with stuff? Y'know, there's no hurry. Nowadays with downloading and file sharing and stuff, music is so disposable there really isn't any kind of hurry. 'Cause when the Stones get up and say, 'Here's a new song' off their new album, isn't it when you sit down? Yeah. And I've played this game before."
KISS returns to the road April 21 in Reno, Nevada, and will be touring in Europe through the spring.
